Avoid – too slow, too flaky
I run a network of 8 computers at home (Mac, PCs, Linux) and got this to replace an aging file server PC running Linux, with USB disks connected.

Should work well for home use.
The product works well and the interface is easy to use. The data transfer is slow for business purposes, trying to move 100’s of gigbytes quickly.

Defective out of the box. Called Iomega support 4 times….support was abysmal. The last thing they seemed to want to do was replace the defective item.

    Frequently drops out
    Pros: Small, USB port
    Cons: Numerous

Even though it supports mirroring, be aware that Iomega’s warranty policy is that if the drives fail, they will not replace the box if you ever open it.
